About

I am a PhD student in Second Language Studies at Michigan State University. My research interests lie at the intersection of ISLA and psycholinguistics focusing on learner individual differences and their affect on different learners’ ability to learn languages in various contexts and through different methodologies, as well as psycholinguistic measures of learning, such as eye-tracking.

Prior to joining the SLS program in 2019, I was a EFL professor and program coordinator at a university in Ecuador. I have also taught ESL in the US and EFL in South Korea.

I have bachelor’s degrees from The University of Montana in Journalism with a specialization in photojournalism and Spanish, as well as a certificate in teaching English and a University Scholar designation from the Honors College.

I obtained my Master’s degree in TESOL through the College of Education at Seattle University in 2015.
